Get Involved

If we are to keep our library we must keep the building up and running, and there are many ways in which you can help.

As a volunteer –  we are all volunteers and always need more on the team! You might have a special skill or maybe you just want to see Hungerford Hub achieve greatness and are happy to hand out leaflets, wash-up or push a broom across the floor. Whatever your strengths, we would love to have you on board!

As a sponsor – this building needs you!  Get your name up there with the good and the great by funding a special event or a piece of equipment to be used in the Hub. Email hungerfordhub@gmail.com with your ideas.

Alternatively, you can give directly to the Hungerford Library Trust which is a registered charity and through which we aim to match fund donations.

Sponsor a Brick is a great way to lend your support and all the money goes direct to the trust – find out more here. It’s easy and can all be done online if you can’t get into the Hub.

By hosting an event – we are in a great situation in the centre of Hungerford, with easy (pay and display) parking right next door and a station within walking distance with regular trains to Newbury, Reading and beyond. To find out more, go here for details. To making a booking call 07512 076150 or reach us by via contact link here.

Attending an event is a fun way to support the Hub and you could learn a new skill! Check out the line up at #happeninginthehub

Sponsor a Brick

The aim of the Friends of Hungerford Library is to raise funds to pay for the maintenance and running of the Hub, ensuring our library always has a roof over its head.

One of the ways you can help us achieve this is by sponsoring a brick. For as little as £5 a year, you will be able to see your name on the wall in the Hub. Of course we hope you will feel like spending more because we have a large pot to fill!

Here’s what a brick costs to sponsor per annum:

  • Green: £5
  • Bronze: £20
  • Silver: £50
  • Gold:£100

Contact us using the form below and we will start the ball rolling. Alternatively, pick up a form from a member of the library staff inside the Hub.

Payment by cheque (payable to Hungerford Library and Community Trust) or BACS transfer to account number 33761614, sort code 20-65-20. Please quote ‘Brick’ and your name as the reference alongside the payment.
