Looking for somewhere to hold a meeting or a get-together? Need somewhere to run a workshop or a class? Whatever the event, Hungerford Hub is a great venue, situated right in the heart of the town. Access is easy with a pay and display car park right next door and a station within walking distance that has regular trains to Newbury, Reading and beyond.
The facilities are great— it has a large, light filled space that can accommodate up to 100 people in seated rows or 20 in a workshop setup with tables. There is a recently refurbished kitchen for making hot drinks, plus a microwave and fridge. Glasses and crockery are all provided – just let us know what you will require at the time of booking.
Our hire rates are very competitive: for a minimum 3-hour block, we charge £30. For every extra hour, the rate is £10. If you are running a ticketed event you can pay the hire charge by sharing the ticket revenue – 1/3 to the Hub, 2/3 to you. Hire charges for a ticketed event start at £45 for a 3-hour block, and we would handle ticket sales and publicise your event.
The Hub can be hired when the library is closed as follows:
The Hub also has a small, private meeting area at the front of the building called The Curve which can be hired for £15 for the same 3-hour blocks; this room is available both within and outside of library hours (opening times here).
The space within TheCurve has also been developed to provide somewhere that can be used by local artists and crafters as a pop-up shop or exhibition. It has a hanging system for paintings, a lockable glass display cabinet, revolving rack for cards and glass shelving in two windows for displaying goods.
The hire charge for The Curve is £30 per day with a sales commission of 10% (20% on cards) going to Hungerford Library & Community Trust. Weekend deal – hire for Friday, Saturday and Sunday for £80.
